Job Description
A Product Manager role focused on ArcGIS Developer technology, responsible for engaging with the developer community, shaping product strategy, evangelizing capabilities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance mapping and geospatial application development.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather feedback from the developer community to influence product direction and prioritize needs
- Evangelize the vision, capabilities, strategy, and roadmap of ArcGIS Developer technology
- Assist developers in understanding how to leverage ArcGIS features to improve workflows
- Stay updated on developer technology trends to align product strategy and resources
- Create technical content and marketing materials to promote ArcGIS Developer capabilities
- Provide product expertise to key customers to support their business needs and projects
- Coordinate internal product launches with sales, support, and training teams
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, commercial application development, consulting, or product support.
- Experience with real-world software development projects involving relevant software stacks such as web development with JavaScript, native app development for Android and iOS, .NET, Qt, or back-end technologies including Python, Node.js, Go, Rust, and others.
- Ability to research customer problems and synthesize them into product requirements.
- Capability to effectively document and verbally communicate market requirements to the engineering team.
- Keen interest in customer experience and research to identify the right problems to solve with ArcGIS Developer technology.
- Self-motivated, organized, and team-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills at the technical level.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
