Job Description
A Product Manager for ArcGIS Online responsible for guiding product development, gathering user feedback, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance geospatial SaaS solutions and support Esri's strategic growth in GIS technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and prioritize user feedback to influence product development and strategy
- Translate customer problems into product requirements and drive prioritization
- Build awareness of system patterns and relationships within Esri's global workforce
- Assist sales teams with customer product journeys and total cost of ownership assessments
- Create content and provide product expertise for customer interactions, events, and internal launches
- Stay updated on cloud technology, SaaS market trends, and ArcGIS developments
- Represent ArcGIS Online at events and ensure internal readiness for product launches
- Manage the product lifecycle, including complex user-driven enhancements
- Develop technical documentation and system designs for complex solutions
- Identify market opportunities and communicate product value across teams and stakeholders
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, technical project management, or related roles.
- Experience with SaaS and or cloud-based software principles and design.
- Strong leadership skills, guiding teams through decision-making, achieving consensus, and balancing multiple perspectives.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to discuss technical concepts with product development teams while also being able to discuss and explain to executives and other non-technical personnel.
- Expertise in researching customer problems, translating them into product requirements, and driving prioritization.
- Proficiency in system design, human-centered design, and creating technical documentation for complex solutions.
- Skilled in identifying market opportunities, communicating product value, and working cross-functionally with various teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to travel 10-20% of the time to customer sites, conferences, trade shows, and other strategic meetings and events.
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, geography or geographic information systems, computer science, or a STEM related field.
