Job Description
This role involves developing, analyzing, and maintaining high-quality global vector basemaps for Esri's GIS services, utilizing software engineering and GIS expertise to improve mapping data and deliver efficient updates to users worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, analyze, and release updates to Esri's global vector basemaps
- Design and implement processing improvements for high-quality basemaps
- Investigate issues and collaborate to improve product quality and user experience
- Coach and mentor product engineers in map development and delivery
- Communicate complex data insights and analysis to teams and decision-makers
Requirements
- 5 years of experience improving and maintaining data pipelines, QA systems, and release processes for software and data-driven products
- Proficient in the software development lifecycle, including QA and production release
- Experience with Esri technology ArcGIS Online, Pro, Enterprise, Platform and Windows-based server deployment
- Knowledge of web servers Apache, Tomcat, IIS and SaaS environments
- Skilled in Python, SQL, and scripting for automation of build and QA processes
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
