Job Description
The Sr. Cloud Automation Engineer will develop, evaluate, and improve automation tools for deploying and managing ArcGIS Enterprise in cloud and Kubernetes environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and user-friendly solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and improve the quality, scalability, and performance of Esri's cloud and Kubernetes automation technology
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure automation aligns with customer needs, usability standards, and deployment best practices
- Gather, analyze, and prioritize user requirements to develop and test automation solutions
- Design and refine user experiences for automation tools focusing on clarity, simplicity, and maintainability
- Document and communicate the proper use of automation technology through various channels
- Stay current on emerging cloud and containerization trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement
Requirements
- Five years of experience designing, deploying, or automating solutions in AWS and/or Azure, with a deep understanding of core cloud services such as compute, networking, storage, identity, and monitoring.
- Proven experience with infrastructure automation, including architecting and maintaining automated deployments for cloud-native and containerized applications.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering, product, and support teams.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot distributed systems, APIs, and deployment pipelines.
- Proficiency in scripting or configuration management tools such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related technical field.

Base salary range of $92,144 to $153,920 USD
