Job Description
A hands-on Information Security expert responsible for incident response, threat detection, automation, and security enhancements across physical, virtual, and cloud environments within a global GIS company.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incident response and forensic analysis across physical, virtual, and cloud environments
- Design and implement advanced detection solutions using diverse log sources and security technologies
- Automate security controls, processes, and detection capabilities to reduce manual intervention
- Develop and create playbooks for security incident response and automation
- Analyze data from multiple sources to identify security threats and vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with business and IT teams to align security initiatives with organizational objectives
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends, emerging security issues, and technologies to proactively manage risks
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise security engineering, operations, and implementation, with a strong adherence to industry-standard tools and methodologies.
- Comprehensive knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and broader security concepts.
- Advanced proficiency with systems technologies, including servers, operating systems, virtualization, and storage infrastructure, as well as expertise in networking and communication protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Perl, PHP, and Ruby for automation and data manipulation tasks.
- Practical experience in securing cloud infrastructures on AWS, Azure, and GCP, leveraging CSPM and CWP tools.
- In-depth understanding of defense-in-depth strategies encompassing physical, administrative, and technical controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related STEM field.
- Ability to contribute ideas, develop documentation, and implement security best practices within a team environment.
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills to extract, analyze, and document complex business and technical requirements or strategies from customers and IT stakeholders.

Estimated base salary range: $93,600 - $157,560 USD
