Job Description
A GIS subject matter expert responsible for developing innovative GIS solutions, advising customers on complex business challenges, and demonstrating the value of Esri's GIS technology through technical consulting, presentations, and solution design.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise customers on complex GIS solutions and demonstrate the value of Esri technology.
- Build relationships and support the sale of Esri software and solutions through technical presentations and demonstrations.
- Lead technical meetings with enterprise decision makers to drive revenue.
- Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert in Esri technology and industry-specific applications.
- Understand clients' business structures, workflows, and integration points to develop tailored GIS solutions.
- Proactively craft and propose GIS solutions that address customer challenges and demonstrate business value.
- Design and deliver technical presentations for diverse audiences, including at conferences and executive engagements.
- Troubleshoot client issues related to Esri application deployment and system architecture.
- Share knowledge and coach team members on best practices in GIS technology and solution implementation.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
- 3 years of experience in various industries
- Broad knowledge of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, cloud computing
- Demonstrated experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design
- Understanding of sales and business development processes
- Ability to troubleshoot client issues related to Esri application deployment and system architecture
- Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments including Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Experience integrating software solutions with other business systems including data warehousing, BI, CRM, ERP, and analytics platforms
- Programming and scripting experience with languages such as Python and JavaScript
- Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field
