Job Description
A GIS subject matter expert responsible for developing innovative GIS solutions, supporting sales and technical consulting, and demonstrating the value of Esri's GIS technology to strategic partners through presentations, technical leadership, and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and recommend analysis tools for GIS problem-solving
- Create innovative GIS solutions and present them effectively
- Support and demonstrate Esri software and solutions to clients
- Lead technical meetings with enterprise decision-makers to drive revenue
- Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert on Esri technology and system integration
- Develop complex solutions aligning Esri technology with partner business needs
- Design and deliver technical presentations for diverse audiences
- Troubleshoot client issues related to Esri applications and system architecture
- Share knowledge and coach team members on best practices
- Propose solutions that demonstrate the business value of GIS to partners
Requirements
- Five years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
- Three years of experience with Esri developer technology
- Broad knowledge of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing
- Demonstrated experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design
- Understanding of sales and business development processes, with an emphasis on partnering
- Ability to troubleshoot client issues related to Esri application deployment and system architecture
- Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments, specifically Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Experience integrating software solutions with other business systems including data warehousing, BI, CRM, ERP, and analytics platforms
- Programming and scripting experience with languages such as Python and JavaScript
- Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field
