Job Description
A GIS subject matter expert responsible for developing innovative GIS solutions, supporting sales and technical consulting, and demonstrating the value of Esri's GIS technology to strategic partners through presentations, system integration, and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify appropriate analysis tools and create innovative GIS solutions.
- Support and demonstrate Esri software and solutions to partners and stakeholders.
- Lead technical meetings with enterprise decision-makers to drive revenue.
- Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert in Esri technology and system integration.
- Develop complex solutions by understanding organizational workflows and integrating GIS with other systems.
- Share knowledge and mentor new team members on best practices.
- Proactively craft and propose GIS solutions that address partners' business challenges.
- Design and deliver technical presentations for diverse audiences, including at conferences and executive meetings.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
- 3 years of experience with Esri developer technology
- Broad knowledge of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, cloud computing
- Demonstrated experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design
- Understanding of sales and business development processes, with an emphasis on partnering
- Ability to troubleshoot client issues related to Esri application deployment and system architecture
- Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments including Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Experience integrating software solutions with other business systems including data warehousing, BI, CRM, ERP, and analytics platforms
- Programming and scripting experience with languages such as Python and JavaScript
- Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field
