Job Description
A Geospatial and Industry expert responsible for advising customers on GIS solutions, demonstrating the value of Esri technology, and leading technical engagements to address complex business challenges in sectors like AEC and environmental consulting.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise customers on complex GIS solutions and demonstrate their value.
- Build relationships and support the sale of Esri software and solutions.
- Lead technical meetings with enterprise decision-makers to drive revenue.
- Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert in GIS, AEC, and environmental consulting.
- Develop and propose strategies that align Esri technology with customer business needs.
- Design and deliver technical presentations for diverse audiences.
- Troubleshoot client issues related to Esri applications and system architecture.
- Share knowledge and coach team members on GIS best practices.
Requirements
- Five years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
- Three years of experience in AEC, environmental consulting, or related industries
- Broad knowledge of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing
- Demonstrated experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design
- Understanding of sales and business development processes
- Ability to troubleshoot client issues related to Esri application deployment and system architecture
- Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments, specifically Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Experience integrating software solutions with other business systems including data warehousing, BI, CRM, ERP, and analytics platforms
- Programming and scripting experience with languages such as Python and JavaScript
- Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field
