Job Description
A Senior GIS Engineer at Esri will develop and deliver advanced geospatial solutions using ArcGIS technology, leveraging programming skills and innovative approaches to support community engagement and demonstrate the power of geographic information systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop ArcGIS-based solutions for communities and stakeholders.
- Leverage ArcGIS, AI tools, and programming languages to enhance geospatial solutions.
- Understand stakeholder requirements and incorporate them into GIS outputs.
- Create configurations, guidance, and best practices for ArcGIS data, maps, and apps.
- Present technical concepts and solutions to diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with global teams and contribute to community engagement strategies.
- Enhance workflows and experiences through customization and innovation.
Requirements
- Five years of professional experience working with ArcGIS Technology, with a focus on ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Hub and associated apps
- A passion for geographic knowledge and spatial thinking, promoting The Geographic Approach and experience of systems thinking
- Experience configuring and publishing ArcGIS data, maps, and apps, including advanced configuration and interoperability
- Programming and scripting experience with languages such as HTML, CSS, Python, and JavaScript
- Strong presentation skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and virtual and in-person collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with a disciplined, process-oriented mindset
- International collaboration and business experience, working with multiple cultures, developed and emerging markets
- Ability to travel up to 10 domestically and internationally
- Bachelor's degree in geography, computer science, or a GIS-related field
