Job Description
A senior events marketing professional responsible for planning, executing, and managing large-scale events to enhance stakeholder engagement, ensuring seamless logistics, fostering relationships, and continuously improving attendee experiences within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute large-scale events from start to finish.
- Manage event logistics including budget, communications, food and beverage, audio-visual, internet, security, and electrical needs.
- Act as primary liaison with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure successful event delivery.
- Lead onsite food and beverage operations and standards.
- Track and manage all event details, deadlines, and project milestones.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance relationships and influence decision-making.
- Mentor team members on event management best practices.
- Identify and resolve event-related issues creatively and proactively.
- Analyze industry trends and recommend innovative strategies to improve events and attendee experience.
- Navigate complex challenges and adapt plans to meet evolving event requirements.
Requirements
- Five (5) years of experience working in events or the hospitality industry.
- Demonstrated experience working independently and with a team.
- Proven ability to successfully engage with high-level internal and external partners.
- Experience providing deliverables and executing events management on time against deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and collaboration tools such as Workfront.
- Previous use of events management software such as Exhibit Force and Rainfocus.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship is not available).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines and execute multiple large-scale events throughout the year.
- Ability to track and manage all event details including project budget, communications, food and beverage, audio-visual, internet, security, and electrical requirements.
- Ability to identify and address errors, devise solutions based on limited information and precedent, and adapt existing approaches.
- Ability to navigate complex challenges, determine appropriate courses of action, and resolve issues creatively.
- Ability to lead onsite food and beverage requirements and standards for Esri.
- Ability to analyze industry trends and recommend new strategies and ideas.
- Ability to influence change to improve processes and elevate the attendee experience.
- Willingness to share creativity and drive the business forward.
- Willingness to advise junior team members and mentor on events management best practices.
