Job Description
This role involves developing and managing UX writing strategies for Esri's digital platforms, focusing on creating clear, user-centered interface copy and guidelines to enhance user experience across web and AI systems, with an emphasis on accessibility, consistency, and impact-driven design.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and create UX interface copy at scale to ensure user-focused language across esri.com and digital touchpoints
- Collaborate with project managers, strategists, and researchers to gather project scope and requirements
- Craft clear, concise, and compelling text for instructional flows, button labels, navigational items, and error messages
- Establish and maintain a UX writing style guide to ensure consistency in voice, tone, and terminology
- Shape and implement strategies for writing for AI systems, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity
- Use experiments and feedback to refine, optimize, and improve content over time
- Advocate for the value of UX micro-copy, mentor others, and communicate best practices
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years specializing in writing interface copy and unifying user experiences in a business-to-business (B2B) software company or in the public sector.
- Strong knowledge of research, testing, and analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, UserTesting, Airtable, Mouseflow, Microsoft Power BI, and Optimizely.
- Experience with case studies demonstrating impact in B2B, B2C, or government environments.
- Experience with Figma design systems and libraries.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to make complex ideas understandable.
- A clear passion for experimentation and for crafting tactics needed to improve user experience and drive increased performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in human-computer interaction, user experience, interaction design, applied social science, or a related field.
