Job Description
This role involves developing high-performance 3D visualization and analysis tools within the ArcGIS platform, focusing on spatial data management, algorithm implementation, and creating scalable software solutions for professionals in various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Build C software components following industry-standard design patterns and development methodologies
- Collaborate with product engineers to implement requirements, create application architectures, and develop APIs
- Design and develop solutions for spatial data access and management of large datasets
- Create stable software with automated test validation
- Develop reusable components and libraries for internal use and open source
- Work within agile processes for rapid delivery of software features
- Drive high-impact initiatives that challenge conventional boundaries and deliver innovative results
- Solve complex problems through application design, development, and user experience improvements
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Modern C programming language.
- Experience with 3D graphics APIs such as WebGPU, OpenGL, or DirectX.
- Understanding of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
- Strong math skills and expertise in computational geometry, topology, and data modeling for terrain and surface analysis.
- Experience working with large datasets of vector and terrain lidar data, as well as data structures for storing, manipulating, and visualizing 3D data.
- Experience with workflow computing, including UI programming, scripting, and test authoring.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and test-driven development processes.
- Prior experience with the development and release of commercial software.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or a related field.
