Job Description
A senior business development manager at Esri is responsible for collaborating with distributors and stakeholders to promote and expand the adoption of Esri's geographic information system technology within the European region, focusing on national security, defense, and intelligence agencies, while driving growth, building partnerships, and negotiating enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with distributors to co-sell and promote Esri technology in Europe.
- Identify new business opportunities and drive growth within new market segments.
- Present, negotiate, and articulate the value of Esri solutions to executives and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain long-term partnerships with customers and distributors.
- Lead executive reviews to finalize enterprise agreements with distributors.
- Support and mentor team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Demonstrate expertise in GIS, Esri products, and their application to national security needs.
Requirements
- 5 years of successfully supporting the needs of gathering and designing technical specifications to solve a customer’s needs
- Experience selling enterprise software solutions directly and through a channel
- Expert in negotiation and strategic engagements
- Advanced storytelling skills and experience presenting at conferences and executive level engagements
- Ability to quickly learn new technology and translate it into solutions that address customer needs
- Mastery of English and other languages as needed, both verbal and written
- Understanding of GIS, Esri technology, and national security as they relate to one another
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field
- Job based in Rotterdam, Netherlands
- Ability to travel globally 25-50%
