Job Description
A Senior Business Analyst responsible for driving strategic initiatives, eliciting and documenting business requirements, leading process improvements, and developing the business analysis practice within the organization to ensure successful project delivery and stakeholder collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand business needs, identify improvement opportunities, and propose solutions
- Elicit, analyze, document, and prioritize business requirements using various techniques
- Create and maintain analysis artifacts such as user stories, process diagrams, and test cases
- Ensure requirements traceability and validate alignment with business objectives
- Collaborate with technical teams to assess feasibility and develop acceptance criteria
- Support QA and User Acceptance Testing to verify solutions meet requirements
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of business analysis methodologies and tools
- Mentor and coach other business analysts to foster a culture of excellence
Requirements
- Five years of direct experience as a business analyst, preferably in an enterprise or IT setting.
- Familiarity with the IIBA Business Analysis Book of Knowledge (BABOK) and its Agile Extension.
- Demonstrated expertise in business analysis frameworks, requirements management, and process improvement.
- Proven ability to lead and influence without direct authority, driving consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Experience working on Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid projects.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in process modeling tools such as Microsoft Visio, LucidChart, and business analysis artifacts such as use cases, user stories, and business rules.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
- Bachelor’s degree.
