Job Description
A Digital Tagging and Analytics Implementation Specialist responsible for managing digital data collection infrastructure, implementing tracking solutions, and ensuring data accuracy and compliance across web assets using various tag management and analytics platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain tagging solutions across platforms using tag management tools like AEP Data Collection, GTM, or Tealium
- Test, debug, and troubleshoot tag deployments to ensure data accuracy and performance
- Manage tag properties and rules for multiple domains and coordinate workflows involving multiple libraries
- Design and implement data collection strategies and tagging standards for scalable and consistent data capture
- Collaborate with front-end teams to align on data layer and event tracking requirements
- Enforce best practices in data collection, privacy, and compliance standards such as GDPR and CCPA
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant, full-time experience in digital tagging, analytics implementation, or related fields.
- Experience with tag management systems such as AEP Data Collection (formerly Adobe Launch), Google Tag Manager (GTM), Tealium, or similar platforms, including implementation, testing, debugging, and system planning.
- Proficiency in JavaScript for tag and analytics implementations.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and front-end development principles.
- Knowledge of Data Layer standards, formatting, and governance.
- Experience with designing and executing data collection strategies and tagging standards that support scalable, consistent, and efficient data capture across web assets.
- Ability to develop and maintain tagging solutions across platforms using AEP Data Collection and other tag management tools.
- Experience with developing and managing tag properties and rules for multiple domains using AEP Data Collection.
- Experience with thorough testing and debugging of tag deployments to ensure data accuracy and performance, and troubleshooting issues to maintain data integrity.
- Ability to work closely with front-end developers, UX, and product teams to align on data layer and EDDL requirements for websites and web event tracking.
- Understanding of privacy and compliance requirements such as GDPR and CCPA.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and management.
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or a related STEM field.
