Job Description
The role involves managing corporate income taxes for affiliates, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory deadlines, and supporting international tax planning and reporting efforts. It requires analyzing tax information, liaising with CPA firms, and maintaining knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret information to accurately report the company's tax position
- Liaise with CPA firms to prepare timely and accurate tax filings for all entities
- Research tax laws and rulings as necessary
- Ensure compliance with jurisdictional regulations, internal policies, and procedures
- Explore and implement technology solutions to improve tax processes and accuracy
- Support financial audits related to tax reporting
- Perform reconciliation of tax-related general ledger accounts
- Manage tax audits and respond to notices
Requirements
- Eight (8) years of tax experience including working knowledge of tax law and codes
- Ability to analyze and interpret information necessary to accurately report the company's tax position
- Ability to liaise with local CPA firms to prepare timely and accurate tax filings for all entities
- Ability to research tax law and rulings as necessary
- Ability to ensure compliance with applicable jurisdictional regulations, internal policies, and procedures
- Ability to explore new ways to use technology which improves processes for gains in accuracy and efficiency
- Ability to maintain current knowledge of relationships between company accounting records and tax reporting requirements, and provide support for financial audits of entities
- Experience working on tax audits and notices
- Proficiency in reconciling tax-related general ledger accounts
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, negotiating, reasoning, and problem solving
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs
- Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel to develop ad hoc and standard reporting
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or in a related field with an Accounting Certificate
- Active CPA license or in progress
