Job Description

This role involves managing enterprise sales and consulting for state and local government clients, leveraging GIS technology to develop strategic relationships, identify growth opportunities, and deliver tailored solutions that meet organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships and develop location strategies for large organizations
  • Identify new opportunities and deepen existing customer relationships
  • Present at trade shows, workshops, and seminars to demonstrate GIS solutions
  • Understand customer needs, key stakeholders, and decision-making processes
  • Articulate the value of Esri technology and its relevance to the SLG industry
  • Manage account strategies and execute sales processes to meet revenue goals
  • Collaborate with internal teams and partners to support account growth
  • Conduct research and pursue professional development to stay competitive

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of enterprise sales and or relevant consulting or program management experience.
  • Experience managing the sales cycle, creating partnerships, and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with large customers.
  • Possess financial and business acumen to build compelling account growth strategies.
  • Advanced knowledge of State and Local Government (SLG) and new technology trends and the ability to translate this into complex solutions for customers.
  • Understanding of GIS, Esri technology, and SLG as they relate to one another.
  • Expert visual storyteller and negotiator across all levels of an organization.
  • Knowledge of industry fiscal year, budgeting, and procurement cycles.
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship is not available).
