Job Description
A remote-friendly role focused on managing relationships and driving sales within local government organizations by leveraging GIS technology, industry expertise, and strategic account management to expand adoption and identify growth opportunities for Esri's geospatial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships with large, complex government organizations and identify new opportunities.
- Develop and implement location strategies to expand GIS adoption within local government clients.
- Understand customer needs, including organizational stakeholders and budgeting processes, to tailor solutions.
- Demonstrate the value of Esri technology and GIS solutions relevant to local government challenges.
- Manage the sales cycle, pursue account growth, and meet revenue targets through proactive account management.
- Collaborate with internal teams and partners to develop account strategies and share knowledge.
- Present at trade shows, workshops, and seminars to promote Esri solutions and industry expertise.
Requirements
- Experience managing the sales cycle, creating partnerships, and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with large customers
- Possess financial and business acumen to build compelling account growth strategies
- Advanced knowledge of local government and new technology trends and the ability to translate this into complex solutions for customers
- Understanding of GIS, Esri technology, and local government as they relate to one another
- Expert visual storyteller and negotiator across all levels of an organization
- Knowledge of industry fiscal year, budgeting, and procurement cycles
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field
