Job Description

A remote-eligible role focused on building relationships and providing GIS solutions to local government clients, leveraging Esri technology to identify growth opportunities, support customer success, and drive strategic account management within the public sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships and develop location strategies for large organizations
  • Identify new opportunities and deepen existing customer relationships
  • Present at trade shows, workshops, and seminars to demonstrate industry knowledge
  • Understand customer needs, stakeholders, and decision-making processes
  • Articulate the value of Esri technology related to local government
  • Execute account management and sales processes to meet revenue goals
  • Collaborate with internal teams and partners to develop account strategies
  • Share knowledge and support team development
  • Manage the sales cycle and establish trusted partnerships with large customers
  • Translate GIS and Esri technology into complex solutions for local government clients

Requirements

  • Experience managing the sales cycle, creating partnerships, and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with large customers
  • Possess financial and business acumen to build compelling account growth strategies
  • Advanced knowledge of local government and new technology trends and the ability to translate this into complex solutions for customers
  • Understanding of GIS, Esri technology, and local government as they relate to one another
  • Expert visual storyteller and negotiator across all levels of an organization
  • Knowledge of industry fiscal year, budgeting, and procurement cycles
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%
  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field
