Job Description
This role involves leading and managing a technical team focused on promoting and implementing Esri's geospatial technology solutions, supporting sales activities, developing customer relationships, and delivering innovative GIS-based solutions within the infrastructure sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the technical activities of the solution engineering team in sales processes.
- Mentor and coach team members to develop their skills and performance.
- Support the development and delivery of strategic events, tradeshows, and executive engagements.
- Build and maintain relationships to support business growth opportunities.
- Understand customer industries and needs related to GIS, infrastructure utilities, telecom, and rail.
- Create and articulate GIS solutions that address customer business needs and demonstrate value.
- Deliver solutions, demonstrations, and prototypes to customers and partners.
- Set and achieve time-driven goals for the team to meet sales and project objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing and coaching a technical team
- Minimum of 8 years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
- Experience in technical sales providing solutions to customers
- Deep technical understanding of GIS, Esri technology, and infrastructure utilities, telecom, rail industries as they relate to one another
- Demonstrated knowledge of infrastructure utilities, telecom, rail, new technology trends, and the ability to translate knowledge into solutions for customers
- Expertise in listening to clients, assessing needs, creating solutions, presenting, and visual storytelling across all levels of the organization
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 50%
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, GIS, business, or a related field

Compensation/salary range: $131,040 - $228,800 USD
Work schedule: Up to 50% travel domestically or internationally
