The Solution Engineer Manager at Esri leads and mentors a technical team to promote and sell Esri technology, while collaborating with account and sales managers to drive business development and support customer needs in the geospatial industry.
Responsibilities
•Manage the technical activities of the team in collaboration with account and sales managers.
•Mentor the team through coaching, direction, and feedback.
•Lead the development and engagement of strategic Esri events and conferences.
•Build and maintain relationships to support business growth opportunities.
•Demonstrate industry knowledge relevant to GIS applications.
•Identify key stakeholders and understand customer budgeting processes.
•Craft and articulate solutions to meet customer business needs.
•Deliver innovative solutions, demonstrations, and presentations to stakeholders.
•Establish attainable and realistic goals for the team.
Requirements
•5 years of experience managing and coaching a technical team
•8 years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
•Experience in technical sales providing solutions to customers
•Deep technical understanding of GIS, Esri technology and the infrastructure industry as they relate to one another
•Demonstrated knowledge of electric, gas, telecom, or rails, new technology trends, and the ability to translate knowledge into solutions for customers
•Expert in listening to clients, assessing needs, creating solutions, presenting, and visual storytelling across all levels of the organization
•Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 50%
•Bachelor's in geography, GIS, business, or a related field
