Job Description
The Solution Engineer Manager at Esri leads and mentors a technical team to promote and sell Esri technology, while collaborating with account and sales managers to drive business development and support customer needs in the geospatial industry.
Responsibilities
- •Manage the technical activities of the team in collaboration with account and sales managers.
- •Mentor the team through coaching, direction, and feedback.
- •Lead the development and engagement of strategic Esri events and conferences.
- •Build and maintain relationships to support business growth opportunities.
- •Demonstrate industry knowledge relevant to GIS applications.
- •Identify key stakeholders and understand customer budgeting processes.
- •Craft and articulate solutions to meet customer business needs.
- •Deliver innovative solutions, demonstrations, and presentations to stakeholders.
- •Establish attainable and realistic goals for the team.
Requirements
- •5 years of experience managing and coaching a technical team
- •8 years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
- •Experience in technical sales providing solutions to customers
- •Deep technical understanding of GIS, Esri technology and the infrastructure industry as they relate to one another
- •Demonstrated knowledge of electric, gas, telecom, or rails, new technology trends, and the ability to translate knowledge into solutions for customers
- •Expert in listening to clients, assessing needs, creating solutions, presenting, and visual storytelling across all levels of the organization
- •Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 50%
- •Bachelor's in geography, GIS, business, or a related field
