Job Description
A solution engineer at Esri is responsible for demonstrating and supporting geospatial technologies and solutions to customers, helping them understand and adopt Esri's platform to address their business challenges through technical expertise, presentations, and strategic consulting.
Key Responsibilities
- Present, demonstrate, and support the sale of Esri software and solutions to customers.
- Build relationships with customers and support sales strategies.
- Become a subject matter and technical expert on Esri’s platform and products.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences about Esri technologies.
- Proactively craft and propose geospatial solutions to address customer business challenges.
- Design and deliver technical demonstrations and presentations of solutions.
- Support the adoption and effective use of geospatial technologies by customers.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications.
- At least 1 year of experience in various industries.
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts in addition to enterprise solutions.
- Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills.
- Experience in mobile development and familiarity with Game Engine development.
- Strong programming or scripting experience with either one or multiple of the following languages: .NET, C, Kotlin, Swift, Python, JavaScript, Java.
- Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, and cloud computing.
- Ability to work in a high-stress, action-packed, intense teamwork environment.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 25-50%.
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship is not available).
