Job Description
This role involves developing and maintaining data processing components and API services for ArcGIS Online, focusing on building scalable data systems, improving database performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver geospatial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and maintain data processing and API software components
- Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code with good abstractions
- Optimize database queries and data models for improved performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Document features clearly and seek help to resolve ambiguities
- Follow engineering best practices including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration
Requirements
- 1 years of software development experience or relevant internships project work
- Programming experience with Java and or Python
- Understanding of API development and RESTful services
- Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering fundamentals
- Exposure to ETL concepts, batch processing, or data pipelines
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technology field
