Job Description
A Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) responsible for designing and implementing automated tests to ensure the quality and performance of network visualization software within the ArcGIS platform, collaborating with engineers to improve software reliability and functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Engineers to establish, review, and prioritize test plans and manual tests for automation.
- Design, develop, and execute automated tests for functionality, performance, scalability, and durability.
- Create and maintain automated integration and regression test cases using APIs.
- Schedule and run integration tests regularly, and communicate test results clearly.
- Manage and refine test suites and results dashboards as needed.
- Conduct peer reviews of test code to ensure quality.
- Collaborate with Software Engineers to improve software quality through thorough testing and code testability assessments.
- Measure test coverage, analyze CI test results, and troubleshoot test failures.
- Define, implement, and document automated test frameworks.
- Advocate for quality and test optimization throughout the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience with programming proficiency in C.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Applied knowledge of testing principles including experience designing and executing test cases.
- Experience using test automation frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Junit, or Cunit.
- Understanding of deployment tools, such as Jenkins or Chef.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate and resolve software issues.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, GIS, or related field.
