Job Description
A Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) responsible for designing and implementing automated testing frameworks and test cases to ensure the quality of Esri's network visualization software, collaborating with engineers to improve software reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Engineers to establish and refine test plans and prioritize manual and automated tests
- Design, develop, and execute automated tests for functionality, performance, scalability, and durability
- Manage and refactor automated test suites and results dashboards
- Perform peer reviews of test code to ensure quality
- Collaborate with software engineers to improve software quality through thorough testing and monitoring testability
- Measure test coverage, analyze CI test results, and troubleshoot test failures
- Define, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks
- Advocate for quality and test optimization throughout the software development lifecycle
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience with programming proficiency in C.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Applied knowledge of testing principles including experience designing and executing test cases.
- Experience using test automation frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Junit, or Cunit.
- Understanding of deployment tools, such as Jenkins or Chef.
- Developer sensibilities in software design, refactoring, and authoring.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate and resolve software issues.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, GIS, or related field.
