Job Description
The role involves designing and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines, managing containerized environments, and ensuring secure, reliable deployment of Esri technology in cloud and on-premises settings, supporting defense and intelligence clients through innovative DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and Jenkins
- Architect and optimize Docker environments for consistent build and test processes
- Manage complex Python package creation, Conda environments, and dependencies
- Build and manage build infrastructure, including runners, nodes, and registries, with automated provisioning
- Implement automated security measures such as SBOM generation, vulnerability scanning, and license compliance
- Design and implement monitoring frameworks to track build performance
- Automate load and performance testing of Python stacks to detect regressions
- Transition legacy workflows into modern, code-driven processes
- Oversee the lifecycle and security of third-party dependencies and supply chain
- Support container-based deployments and infrastructure automation using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or AWS CDK
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional experience in DevOps, CI/CD, or platform automation.
- Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure Pipelines, or similar.
- Experience working with YAML-based pipeline configurations and infrastructure definitions.
- Exposure to automation and scripting in Python and/or JavaScript.
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, AWS CDK, Terraform, or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks.
- Ability to write and optimize Docker files and support container-based deployments.
- Understanding of artifact management, dependency management, and secure build practices.
- Familiarity with SBOM tools and artifact signing concepts.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure, especially compute services and storage services like S3 or Blob Storage.
- U.S. citizenship with an Active or Current Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility within the last 2 years.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, DevOps, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a STEM-related field.
