Job Description
Develop and maintain the ArcGIS API for Python, leveraging open-source technologies and modern software development practices to enhance web GIS workflows and functionalities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop the ArcGIS API for Python
- Extend and develop Python functionality using Rust and pyO3
- Support open source and proprietary modules with Python
- Perform bug fixes, documentation, and maintenance tasks
- Conduct performance testing of the API
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience with high level programming languages such as Python and low-level programming languages such as Rust
- Understanding of REST APIs and web programming
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, GIS, or related disciplines
- Experience using Python 3.x and Rust (preferred qualification)
