Job Description
This role involves utilizing information security expertise to protect a global enterprise network, responding to system alerts, and collaborating with security engineers and architects to enhance security operations and incident response. The position requires strong communication skills and a willingness to learn, focusing on triaging security incidents and assisting in documentation and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to system alerts and dispatch security incidents
- Triage customer requests and initiate incident investigations
- Assist in documenting standards, processes, and procedures for incident response
- Create and amend runbooks for knowledge expansion
- Collaborate with security engineers and business liaisons
- Continuously learn new aspects of the security business
Requirements
- 2 years of combined experience in the information security cybersecurity domain with a focus on security event monitoring.
- Solid understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and security.
- Strong expertise in systems servers, operating systems, virtualization, and storage infrastructure and networking technologies communication protocols, network infrastructure.
- Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.
- Conceptual and analytical thinker with the ability to extract, analyze, and document complex business and technical requirements strategies from customers and IT team members.
- Experience in using scripting languages, such as PowerShell, Python, Perl, PHP, and Ruby to automate tasks and manipulate data.
- Experience working with infrastructure as code.
- Professional command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
