Job Description
A leadership role responsible for managing and mentoring a sales team to promote and expand the adoption of Esri's geospatial technology, building strategic relationships with large organizations, and driving sales growth through expert industry knowledge and solution development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the sales activities of the team through all stages of the account management process.
- Mentor and coach team members to achieve sales objectives and improve performance.
- Develop and implement location strategies for large, complex organizations to expand customer adoption of Esri technology.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within customer organizations.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of ArcGIS and its value to the commercial industry.
- Research industry trends and continuously develop professional expertise in GIS and Esri technology.
- Plan and execute negotiations with customers to close sales opportunities.
- Drive the sales cycle to meet or exceed sector growth goals through solution development and visual storytelling.
Requirements
- 8 years of enterprise sales and or relevant consulting or program management experience
- 3 years of experience mentoring, motivating, and coaching on a team
- Ability to build compelling account growth strategies
- Advanced knowledge of the commercial industry and new technology trends, and the ability to translate this into complex solutions for customers
- Deep understanding of GIS and Esri technology
- Expert visual storyteller and negotiator across all levels of an organization
- Knowledge of the fiscal year, budgeting, and procurement cycles
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 50% of the time
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field
