Job Description
The role involves managing and promoting editing capabilities within the ArcGIS platform, working with internal teams and external stakeholders to define requirements, demonstrate features, and shape the future development of GIS editing tools across desktop, web, and mobile environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product teams to develop and enhance editing capabilities across the ArcGIS platform.
- Engage with customers to gather, define, and organize user requirements for desktop, web, and mobile editing applications.
- Coordinate with development teams to ensure features meet user needs and stay relevant.
- Support sales, marketing, partners, and distributors with demonstrations and presentations of editing functionalities and future directions.
- Create and deliver messaging through blogs and documentation about cross-platform editing capabilities.
- Brief senior management on editing technology developments, timelines, and customer feedback.
- Represent editing capabilities at conferences, trade shows, and strategic meetings.
- Conduct competitive and gap analysis to inform product development.
- Provide internal teams and customers with information on current and upcoming releases to minimize implementation issues.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience with ArcGIS editing capabilities on the desktop, web, or mobile environments.
- Experience in giving presentations to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Ability to coordinate people and technical resources from multiple areas of the company.
- Effective time management, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills at the technical and executive level.
- Excellent problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
- Ability to travel 10-20% of the time to customer sites, conferences, trade shows, and other strategic meetings and events.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, GIS, or a related field.
