Job Description
The Product Manager will lead the development and launch of AI-powered features within Esri's ArcGIS platform, focusing on translating customer needs into product requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, engaging partners, and ensuring responsible AI practices to enhance geospatial intelligence and automation capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate customer needs and market opportunities into product requirements and a prioritized roadmap.
- Collaborate with software development teams throughout the AI product lifecycle.
- Engage with partners, distributors, and customers to expand AI adoption and gather insights.
- Develop and support product launch plans, including messaging, demos, and enablement materials.
- Support sales and marketing with competitive guidance, demos, and responses to RFPs and RFIs.
- Lead customer-facing programs such as early adopter initiatives, beta testing, and strategic briefings.
- Maintain feedback loops with support and sales teams to identify friction points and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure operational excellence through metrics dashboards and communication rhythms.
- Collaborate with legal, security, privacy, and IT teams to ensure compliance and responsible AI governance.
- Represent the product and company at conferences, webinars, and industry events to communicate strategy and best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in product management, product engineering, technical support, or a similar technical role.
- Proven ability to define product strategy and collaborate with engineering and design teams to deliver customer-facing capabilities.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to translate complex GIS and AI workflows into clear, actionable product requirements.
- Hands-on experience shipping AI-powered features, such as LLM applications, code assistants, automation, or direct collaboration with teams building them.
- Willingness to travel 10-20% for strategic meetings, customer visits, conferences, and partner engagements.
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
