The Product Engineer II Utilities at Esri develops and supports industry-specific geospatial solutions for utility and telecommunications agencies, collaborating with customers and teams to design, configure, and improve GIS applications and workflows tailored to industry needs.
Key Responsibilities
Discover customer needs and develop geospatial solutions for utility industries
Configure ArcGIS applications, tools, and information models for industry-specific use cases
Create and maintain product documentation and enablement materials
Provide input into product design to ensure usability and customer satisfaction
Collaborate with customers and internal teams to define and develop solutions
Draft and review product briefs, presentations, and documentation
Design and execute test cases for functionality, performance, and scalability
Assess product quality, release readiness, and maintain existing solutions
Present and promote solutions to internal and external audiences
Requirements
Two years of professional experience in the utilities, infrastructure, or telecommunications industries and experience applying ArcGIS to support specific industry workflows.
Experience implementing and utilizing ArcGIS Utility Networks.
Demonstrated ability to document and build GIS workflows.
Bachelor’s degree in geography or a related field.
Experience configuring ArcGIS apps, tools, and information models for industry-specific uses.
Ability to discover customer needs and craft geospatial solutions that cater to the electric, gas, water, sewer, stormwater, and telecommunications industries.
Ability to create and maintain product documentation and enablement materials for utility solutions.
Ability to provide input into product design aspects to ensure products are simple to use and provide a great experience for customers.
Experience drafting and reviewing ArcGIS Solutions product briefs, presentations, and documentation.
Experience designing and authoring test cases for functionality, performance, scalability, and durability.
Ability to execute both manual and automated tests, analyze test results, and report results.
Ability to continually assess product quality, release readiness, and maintain existing ArcGIS Solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Creative problem-solving skills and ability to work as a team player.

Compensation/salary range: $79,664 - $133,120 USD
