Job Description
A full-stack software engineer role focused on developing and testing GIS-based software for managing critical infrastructure data, supporting organizations in transportation, energy, and utilities, with responsibilities including design, documentation, testing, and stakeholder collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product teams to define software backlog, priorities, and release themes for GIS applications and web services.
- Design, test, document, and release GIS software features and updates.
- Create and execute test plans, manage testing datasets, and perform various testing types including acceptance and regression testing.
- Author and review user documentation and help guides for accuracy and usability.
- Develop and demonstrate software capabilities to stakeholders and at conferences, incorporating feedback into product development.
- Coordinate with software engineers to establish acceptance criteria and ensure feature development aligns with requirements.
- Develop automated tests using tools like ReadyAPI and Python.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of work experience in a related field such as software development, GIS, IT, architecture, or AEC.
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro and knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of GIS data management practices.
- Understanding of linear referencing concepts.
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, information systems, IT, geography, computer science, or a STEM-related field.
