Job Description
This role involves developing, testing, and releasing data preparation and ingestion tools for geospatial enterprise and cloud platforms, focusing on creating user-friendly interfaces and ensuring software quality through manual and automated testing. The position requires collaboration with product teams to design innovative solutions that leverage geospatial reasoning to solve complex problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product engineers and developers to create user-friendly, performant software tools.
- Gather and advocate for user requirements during the design process.
- Design, develop, and maintain test cases to ensure software quality and performance.
- Execute manual and automated tests, analyze results, and report findings.
- Design user interfaces, controls, and pages for the software tools.
- Create and present resources such as samples and blogs to demonstrate new capabilities to stakeholders and user groups.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience with Python or other scripting languages.
- At least 2 years of experience combining and preparing data from different data sources.
- Familiarity with web analysis experiences like ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Confident verbal communication skills, comfortable giving in-person and online presentations to groups of colleagues or the user community.
- Ability to manage priorities and tasks as needed in a fast-paced agile software development environment.
- Self-motivated and inquisitive, willing to ask questions and chase new ideas.
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, computer science, data analysis or a related field.
