Job Description
A full-stack software engineer role focused on developing GIS-based applications and tools for managing critical infrastructure data, involving software design, testing, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams within the ArcGIS platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Managers to define software backlog, priorities, and release themes for GIS applications.
- Design, test, document, and release GIS software used by professionals in critical infrastructure management.
- Create and execute test plans, manage testing datasets, and perform various testing types including acceptance and regression testing.
- Author and review user guides and documentation for accuracy and usability.
- Develop and present software demonstrations to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into product development.
- Collaborate with software engineers to define acceptance criteria for new features.
- Create automated tests using ReadyAPI and Python.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of work experience in a related field such as software development, GIS, IT, architecture, or AEC.
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro and knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of GIS data management practices.
- Understanding of linear referencing concepts.
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, information systems, IT, geography, computer science, or a STEM-related field.
