Job Description
A technical writer responsible for creating and maintaining documentation, tutorials, and API references for Esri's ArcGIS Maps SDKs, aimed at empowering developers to build geospatial applications across desktop and mobile platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Create documentation for ArcGIS Maps SDKs, including guides, tutorials, API references, and blog content.
- Test new SDK features to ensure accurate representation of workflows and endpoints across supported versions.
- Address and triage customer-reported documentation issues.
- Engage with the developer community through blogs, videos, and social media to inform and inspire users.
- Support users at conferences and online forums to help them succeed with the SDKs.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with SDKs and competence with at least one of the Native Maps SDK programming languages - Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, .NET, or Qt.
- Ability to pick up new tech concepts quickly.
- Ability to break down complex API into clear, concise, and compelling stories and effectively communicate them.
- Solid understanding of Git and an ability to learn and work with industry-standard content management tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, computer science, or a related field.
