Job Description
This role involves designing, developing, testing, and certifying the next generation of ArcGIS Enterprise software, focusing on geospatial mapping and analytics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate customer needs into technical requirements for ArcGIS Enterprise software.
- Collaborate with product and development engineers to build new software releases.
- Contribute to the design of server backend and UI development.
- Develop and implement test plans, test cases, and automate testing processes.
- Review automated test results, report on software quality, and certify software stability.
- Troubleshoot and triage customer issues related to the software.
- Create help topics, blog articles, tutorials, and samples to share workflows.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of industry experience in software testing or software development.
- Experience developing and implementing test plans and test automation for web services.
- Fundamental understanding of APIs and API design principles.
- Fundamental understanding of web services including REST and SOAP.
- Experience working with Python, Java, or other scripting languages.
- Experience with test frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, or Ready API.
- Experience translating customer needs into technical requirements for the team.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to build and deliver quality software in a team environment.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, geography, engineering, computer science, math, or a related field.
