Job Description
The role involves developing and maintaining geocoding data pipelines and tools, improving automation processes, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of geospatial data for Esri's geocoding solutions. It requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance geocoding products and support data sourcing efforts worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop internal tools and applications using Python, C, and SQL
- Improve and maintain automation pipelines for data updates
- Research authoritative open-data sources for geocoding data worldwide
- Evaluate and support implementation of datasets into the geocoding solution
- Convert, upload, and implement data into the master database
- Troubleshoot and resolve workflow issues to ensure data accuracy and reliability
- Research and analyze geocoding issues reported through feedback
- Contribute to geocoding content sourcing efforts
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience working with Python, C, and/or SQL
- Familiarity with web scraping and data engineering for geospatial data
- Ability to identify challenges, suggest improvements, and implement scalable solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- A keen attention to detail and drive to resolve any issues encountered
- Ability to manage priorities and tasks as needed in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, GIS, applied mathematics, geography, or a related field
