Job Description
This role involves managing various material handling and inventory processes within the Product Operations Department, including order processing, shipping, assembly, and equipment operation, to ensure efficient warehouse operations and inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle materials across multiple functional areas using equipment like forklifts, stock pickers, and pallet jacks
- Prepare and affix labels and documentation to packages, shipments, or pallets
- Assist in truck loading and unloading, ensuring proper staging of finished goods
- Assemble products or materials following instructions and drawings
- Pick and pack materials based on transfer order instructions
- Generate transfer orders and coordinate with Customer Service for order processing
- Conduct cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy
- Enter data into SAP and other systems accurately
- Archive paperwork into SAP ERP system using scanners
- Monitor supply consumption and maintain a clean work environment
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, order picking, inventory control, or production assembly.
- Proficiency in computer usage, including email, scanners, and network systems, with clerical skills like data entry, typing, filing, copying, and email management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, with a detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet daily deadlines.
- Capability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in a warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with computer-based inventory, material transfers, and warehousing procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on action and results.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with operating equipment such as forklifts, stock pickers, and possession of current or previous California OSHA Forklift Certification (recommended).
