Job Description
This role involves testing, analyzing, and improving Esri's fleet routing software solutions, including developing test cases, performing performance and stress testing, visualizing results, and collaborating with developers and customers to enhance functionality and address real-world business problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Test and evaluate the quality, performance, durability, and scalability of fleet routing solvers.
- Develop, extend, and maintain test cases and adversarial scenarios to identify potential flaws.
- Create data visualizations to present testing results clearly and effectively.
- Collaborate with developers to design and implement new solver functionalities.
- Engage with customers to understand real-world business problems and model them using fleet routing tools.
- Research and analyze customer requests and industry standards to define new solver requirements.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose customer issues related to solution quality or performance.
- Document workflows and create innovative GIS solutions integrating Network Analyst and other techniques.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in developing test data and test cases, designing and running stress and load tests, and performing statistical analysis on large datasets to summarize data, discover trends and patterns, and provide insights.
- Proficiency in Python development, including experience with Jupyter Notebooks and Python's visualization and data science libraries such as Matplotlib and Pandas.
- Experience developing applications in Python and utilizing REST APIs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to analyze and solve problems in rigorous and innovative ways.
- Bachelor's degree in operations research, computer science, mathematics, data science, or a related field.
