Job Description
A software engineer responsible for developing and maintaining scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems and web services for ArcGIS Enterprise, focusing on geospatial data analytics and cloud integration to deliver mapping solutions across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Build server-side Java components and web services for geospatial workflows
- Prototype, design, develop, and deliver scalable, fault-tolerant software features
- Identify, analyze, and fix bugs and performance issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and incorporate them into the software
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience developing middleware software components using core Java, Servlets JavaEE, and JSP.
- Good understanding of cloud computing platforms AWS and Azure, including services such as Amazon S3, SQS, EC2, and Azure services such as Blob Service and Table Service.
- Good understanding of Java design patterns.
- Knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or DB2.
- Experience working with large code bases.
- Fundamental understanding of web services including REST and SOAP.
- Proficiency in debugging and profiling tools such as Eclipse, IntelliJ Debugger, JProfiler, and others.
- Knowledge of working with a source control system, preferably GIT.
- Excellent problem-solving, design, development, and debugging skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in math, computer science, physics, or a related field.

Estimated base salary range of $97,760 to $163,280 USD
