Job Description
An internship at Esri offers hands-on experience working on real GIS software projects, where interns contribute to development, testing, and documentation while being mentored by experienced team members in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to real projects and receive mentorship from team members
- Research and develop methods to improve ArcGIS software or solve new problems
- Design, test, and document new functionality in ArcGIS products
- Develop use cases demonstrating the value of spatial analysis
- Create blog posts or lessons explaining how to use ArcGIS for specific goals
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of GIS and remote sensing
- Excellent test engineering and problem-solving skills
- Strong development skills using Java, C++, or Python
- Desire and ability to learn new skills and contribute to producing quality commercial software
- Availability to work on a full-time, paid internship position for up to 6 months with flexible start dates
