This role involves generating new business opportunities through outbound and inbound sales efforts, building customer relationships, and promoting Esri's GIS solutions to support customer success and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to inbound requests and execute outbound calls and emails to generate new sales.
Build sales relationships, follow up with prospects, and close business deals.
Manage and maintain a pipeline of target prospects, gather information, and vet customer interest.
Proactively listen to customer needs and recommend appropriate Esri solutions.
Collaborate with sales teams to ensure a strong customer experience and timely account handoff.
Develop target lists, call strategies, and messaging for customers in coordination with sales management.
Learn and understand Esri's products and services to execute sales processes effectively.
Leverage CRM tools to create and manage data and activities related to sales efforts.
Requirements
At least 1 year of sales, consulting, or client facing experience
Customer oriented with a high level of professionalism
Possess a desire to learn and succeed in tech sales
Responsive, friendly, and thoughtful in verbal and written communications
Able to ask for and implement feedback to improve performance
Ability to learn new concepts and software programs quickly, retain large amounts of information, and adapt to a changing work environment
Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, including basic spreadsheet familiarity
Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, marketing, geography, GIS, or a related field

Experience with Salesforce.com
Experience with SaaS software in a sales or business environment
Knowledge of industry sectors such as commercial, utility, energy, state and local government, or federal government (preferred but not mandatory)
