Job Description

The role involves generating new business opportunities for Esri by responding to inbound requests and conducting outbound communications to build sales relationships. The ideal candidate will focus on customer success, collaborate with sales teams, and develop an understanding of Esri's products to effectively manage a pipeline of prospects.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to inbound requests and execute outbound calls and emails to generate new sales.
  • Follow up, build sales relationships, and close business.
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of target prospects through communication.
  • Proactively listen to customer needs and recommend appropriate Esri solutions.
  • Work with sales teams for a strong customer experience and account handoff.
  • Collect and share feedback on lead quality to support demand generation.
  • Develop target lists, call strategies, and messaging for customers.
  • Participate in team meetings, marketing, and sales campaigns.
  • Develop an understanding of Esri's products and services.
  • Leverage CRM best practices and manage all data and activities.

Requirements

  • 1 year of sales, consulting, or client facing experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, marketing, geography, GIS, or related field
  • Customer oriented with a high level of professionalism
  • Possess a desire to learn and succeed in tech sales
  • Responsive, friendly, and thoughtful in verbal and written communications
  • Able to ask for and implement others' feedback in order to improve
  • Ability to learn new concepts and software programs quickly, retain large amounts of information, and adapt to a changing work environment
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, including basic spreadsheet familiarity
