Job Description
The Water Industry Specialist at Esri is a GIS subject matter expert responsible for promoting and developing GIS solutions within the water sector, supporting marketing, community engagement, industry research, and strategic positioning to drive growth and address industry challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Industry Manager in engaging with marketing, sales, product, professional services, distributors, education, and partners to execute campaign tactics
- Develop and deliver content such as webinars, success stories, eBooks, social media, blogs to increase awareness and demand
- Support and promote industry events like conferences, tradeshows, seminars, webinars, and user group meetings
- Contribute to growing the water community on social media platforms
- Create, manage, and execute campaign activities and internal communications to achieve team goals
- Track campaign progress and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to advance activities
- Provide industry and competitive knowledge to internal teams and partners
- Research, evaluate, and support strategic positioning within the water industry
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in water resources, water, wastewater, and or stormwater utilities industry
- Knowledge of GIS and its application within the water industry
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Highly organized, strongly self-motivated, and able to multi-task activities with shifting priorities
- Quick learner with a positive attitude
- Strong decision-making, problem resolution, and creative thinking skills
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, geography, or a related field
