Job Description
A Graphic Illustrator at Esri is responsible for designing icons, technical diagrams, and illustrations for software and marketing materials, combining creativity and technical skills to communicate concepts effectively while adhering to brand guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, and produce graphics and illustrations within Esri iconography guidelines
- Create icons for Esri products, technical diagrams, and presentations
- Develop illustrations that explain processes and relationships using metaphors
- Collaborate with departments to understand needs and develop graphic concepts
- Plan production schedules and maintain accurate workflow records
Requirements
- One year of experience in icon design and illustrative work related to the specified responsibilities
- Experience in illustration, technical drawing, and vector-based design, with a solid foundation in color, lighting, form, concept, composition, and basic illustration techniques
- Ability to identify and solve visual design issues, incorporating feedback from design, product management, and marketing teams
- Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and the capability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within tight deadlines, with strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and icon design skills
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field
