Job Description
The GIS Solution Engineer Team Lead is responsible for guiding and mentoring a team of solution engineers, leading technical sales activities, and developing complex GIS solutions to help civilian government clients achieve their mission-critical goals using Esri's ArcGIS technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the technical activities of the Solution Engineer team, including coaching and mentoring team members.
- Partner with sales and account teams to lead all technical stages of the sales process and support revenue generation.
- Present, demonstrate, and support the sale of Esri software and solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Develop and propose complex GIS solutions that align Esri technology with customer business needs.
- Serve as a technical expert and thought leader in ArcGIS and civilian sciences, providing guidance on configuration and best practices.
- Build relationships with enterprise decision-makers and lead technical meetings to drive customer engagement and sales.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
- 3 years of experience mentoring, motivating, and coaching a team
- Advanced understanding of current GIS technology, including the full ArcGIS system to demonstrate Esri s patterns of use for civilian sciences
- Broad knowledge of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, software, storage, security, networking, servers, databases, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing
- Demonstrated experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design
- Demonstrated experience of actively participating in a sales process
- Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 50%
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, GIS, business administration, or a related field

Base salary range estimated between $114,400 and $195,520 USD
