Job Description
A GIS subject matter expert responsible for advising customers on complex business challenges using Esri's GIS technology, demonstrating solutions, and supporting sales strategies through technical expertise and presentations.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships with customers and support sales strategies for Esri software and solutions
- Become a subject matter expert in GIS technology and specific industry sectors
- Communicate the value of GIS solutions to customers and demonstrate technical solutions
- Design and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to technical and non-technical audiences
- Proactively develop and propose GIS-based solutions to address customer business challenges
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
- At least 1 year of experience in Hi-Tech, Media Entertainment, Consumer Goods Services, Insurance and Financial Services industries
- Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing
- Experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design as well as an understanding of sales and business development processes
- Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments including Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%
