Job Description
The solution engineer at Esri is responsible for demonstrating and supporting geospatial solutions, building customer relationships, and providing technical expertise on Esri's platform to help organizations address their challenges using geospatial technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Present, demonstrate, and support the sale of Esri software and solutions to customers.
- Build relationships with clients and support sales strategies.
- Become a subject matter and technical expert on Esri’s platform and products.
- Communicate effectively about Esri technologies and solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proactively develop and propose geospatial technology solutions to address customer challenges.
- Apply spatial thinking and problem-solving techniques to develop multiple solutions and identify improvements.
- Design and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations tailored to customer needs.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
- 1 year of experience in various industries
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts in addition to enterprise solutions
- Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills
- Experience in mobile development and familiarity with Game Engine development
- Strong programming or scripting experience with either one or multiple of these languages: .NET, C#, Kotlin, Swift, Python, JavaScript, Java
- Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, cloud computing
- Ability to work in a high-stress, action-packed, intense teamwork environments
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 25-50%
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field
